Processed Wool

We have a limited selection of some of our Border Leicester and our Texel wool that has been processed into yarn, roving and batts.

Please know that the wool from our sheep has not been commercially processed, rather we use small custom fiber mills, or we do it by hand in small batches on our farm.  Therefore, you may see bits of vegetable matter such as hay chaff or grass seeds.  This is because our sheep graze real Oregon grass pastures and brushy hillsides and it can be very cantankerous to remove this matter outside of commercial processing.  If these organic bits are too bothersome, you can very gently use a needle and/or tweezers to persuade the removal of such.  You may also see random different colored fiber strands from the main color, these random hitchhikers are often and easily picked up along the way during fiber processing, typically from a prior batch.
