Hand Felted Creations

Fiber Studio

Loren has acquired her fiber felting skills both from formal workshop-instruction, and abundant self-teaching.  She has been needle and wet felting since 2006 on a modest scale.  Some of her grounding courses were taught by the late Carin Engen, a professional fiber artist and instructor well known within the industry.  Other orientation in the subject matter gained from non-formal gatherings of other local fiber enthusiasts, books and of course online resources.

Loren enjoys creating felted articles one at a time, each one differing slightly or vastly.  Various articles are for her own use, while others for sale to the enjoyment of others.  Some articles incorporate wool from the sheep on her farm, including hand dyed elements such as wool locks.

Loren does offer private instruction through informal workshop settings on her farm to share the skills she’s learned.  Anything from private instruction to small group gatherings, and skill levels from beginner basic to more complex.  Occasionally she will do a “non-instructional felting day” for other felters (of any skill level) to gather and felt together while enjoying each other’s company, sharing new ideas and techniques with one another.

Projects

The below Video Gallery and Photo Gallery are some of her projects from super simple to more elaborate.  Loren does trickle hand felted items into the Farm Store if they are articles she making available for purchase.
